Join GoodParty.org as a Talent Partner/Recruiter and contribute to our mission of prioritizing people over money in our democracy. You will play a key role in shaping our culture by identifying and hiring top talent for our fully remote, fast-growing startup. This position requires a proven track record in technical recruiting and a deep understanding of startup HR, particularly in building and scaling remote teams. You will partner with leadership to define recruiting needs, conduct interviews, and manage the hiring process. Requirements
- Be up for the audacious challenge of leveraging technology to transform our civic leadership in America and not think the two-party system is the answer
- Be a proven A-player with a 5+ year track record of recruiting technology teams at startups
- Have proven experience recruiting across multiple positions, but a strength in technology recruiting
- Have a deep understanding of startup HR, including the challenges of recruiting and building a remote team and scaling quickly
- Love systems but also strive to keep them lean and nimble
- Be an exceptional relationship builder, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with team members across all levels
- Have a baseline understanding of how the American political system works
- Be a natural bridge builder who can see many different sides of an issue
- Be integrating Generative-AI tools into your work
- Be able to work independently and also enjoy collaborating with others to iteratively solve problems in real-time
- Thrive working at the startup speed that our mission demands
- Communicate directly, honestly, and be open to candid feedback
Responsibilities
- Help GoodParty.org and its leaders find, attract and hire top talent that will continue to drive solutions to unlock our democracy
- Directly recruit for full-time, hourly, and contract positions across multiple departments. Partnering with our CTO and growing his organization will be key to the success of this role
- Keep a strong connection with leaders by leading intake sessions, weekly updates, and debrief calls. Provide coaching to team members and managers around interviewing and hiring, helping them grow in their roles and hire effectively
- Utilize technology and tools (including Ashby, Metaview) efficiently to keep the process moving forward and everyone up to date
- In collaboration with the Head of Talent, create job descriptions and conduct compensation analysis for new positions
- Partner with candidates to navigate through the hiring process. This includes sourcing, interviewing, and scheduling all candidates for your searches

- Have experience working in small, tight-knit, fast-paced remote teams
- Have experience studying, working, or volunteering in politics, civics, or democracy reform
- Be anti-establishment and be sick of sitting on the sidelines watching our democracy fail to meet its potential
