Summary

Join Mediafly as a Contracts Specialist and play a critical role in managing the company's contracts and agreements effectively and efficiently. Reporting to the VP, People & Operations, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various contracts. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with company policies and legal requirements. Identify and mitigate contractual risks, manage contract lifecycles, and serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries. Maintain accurate contract records and monitor compliance. This role requires strong contract law understanding, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in contract management software. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or related field, preferably in a tech company or similar fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of contract law, principles, and best practices, with experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and resolving complex contractual issues
  • Proficiency in contract management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all aspects of work
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including vendor contracts, client agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal counsel, sales, finance, and operations teams, to ensure contracts align with company policies, objectives, and legal requirements
  • Identify and mitigate contractual risks and liabilities by conducting thorough reviews and assessments of contract terms and conditions
  • Manage contract lifecycles from initiation through execution and renewal, including tracking key milestones, deadlines, and obligations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external parties as needed
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation, including contract templates, databases, and repositories
  • Monitor and track contract compliance and performance, ensuring adherence to terms, conditions, and deliverables
  • Work with external counsel to maintain and conduct an annual review of our standard legal suite of documents including, but not limited to, our order forms, MSA, DPA, and NDAs
  • Assist with the development and implementation of contract management processes, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay informed about relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting contract management practices, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements
  • Support special projects and initiatives related to contract management and operations as assigned by the VP, People & Operations

Preferred Qualifications

Paralegal certification or equivalent experience
