Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, contract management, law, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPCM, CFCM) preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in government contract and subcontract management, with expertise in federal compliance (FAR, CFR)
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a proven ability to manage complex agreements

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex government contracts, subcontracts, and amendments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the full contract lifecycle, including implementation, monitoring, amendments, and closeout, while maintaining a comprehensive repository of contract records
  • Ensure strict adherence to FAR, CFR, and other relevant regulations while proactively identifying and mitigating risks
  • Provide subject matter expertise on regulatory requirements, including California-specific contracting processes and compliance obligations
  • Partner with program, finance, and legal teams to ensure contract terms support programmatic and financial objectives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for government agencies, resolving contract-related issues promptly and professionally
  • Evaluate existing contract management practices and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay informed of changes in contracting regulations and ensure the organization remains compliant with updated requirements. Conduct periodic audits to verify compliance and address any gaps

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with California state agency contracts is highly preferred
