Contracts Specialist

Summary

Join Lightcast as a Contracts Specialist and play a key role in managing the contract lifecycle. You will leverage your technical skills and interpersonal abilities to drive sales processes forward, working closely with Sales and Customer Support teams. Using Salesforce and Spotdraft, you will ensure efficient and accurate contract processing. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will also identify and assess contractual risks and monitor compliance throughout the contract lifecycle. The position requires a bachelor's degree and experience in contract management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in contract management, including contract drafting
• Strong understanding of contract law, legal principles, and familiarity with commercial contracts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to communicate in a positive and responsive manner with internal customers

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements
• Ensure contracts are compliant with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
• Maintain contracts and contract data in our CLM platform
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Support representatives to prepare and revise contracts to achieve successful outcomes in the sales process
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel, vendors, clients, and business units
• Identify and assess contractual risks and propose risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential liabilities
• Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions throughout the contract lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications

• A paralegal certificate or legal studies
• Experience using the Salesforce customer relationship management platform
