Requirements
- Earned master's degree in nursing (MSN) AND an earned Doctorate/PHD (preferably in Nursing or closely related field) from an accredited institution
- Expertise in areas of research/scholarship, theory, nursing education
- A distinguished record of scholarship including externally funded research and peer reviewed publications in Nursing education
- Evidence of current, active & unrestricted RN licensure in one of the 50 states in the US
- PhD in Nursing or PhD in other appropriate discipline with expertise in research methods
- Active RN license
- Evidence of program of scholarship
- 1 to 2 years of online teaching in a masterβs or higher nursing program
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned courses using the CANVAS platform
- Interact with students on discussion boards within the platform, responding to questions within 48 hours
- Maintain a minimum of 4 days per week of classroom presence
- Maintain currency with research by reviewing articles, journals, and presentations
- Publish and acknowledge Walden University if participating in research
- Serve as committee chair, first or second member of doctoral project study committees
- May be asked to serve as University Research Reviewers
- Instruct methodology courses or modules when needed
- Participate in program and university based residencies
- Educate Walden University students by effectively and proficiently using online technology and resources
- Adhere to all Walden University Faculty expectations

Benefits
- Graduate Course Instruction: $1,560 - $4,080 per Quarter or Semester, depending on type of course taught and length of course
- Undergraduate Course Instruction: $700 - $2,200 per quarter, depending on type of course taught and length of course
