Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with prior experience as a Controller or senior finance leader in a high-growth, venture-backed SaaS environment
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, including experience with RevRec (ASC 606) and stock-based compensation accounting
  • Proven experience with audit preparation and tax compliance
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
  • Experience in partnering with FP&A on budgeting and cash forecasting initiatives
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and manage teams effectively

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly close process to deliver timely and accurate three-statement financial reports
  • Own the general ledger and ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
  • Maintain and update the chart of accounts to enable clear and efficient financial reporting
  • Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 and stock-based compensation accounting
  • Partner with FP&A and BizOps teams on the annual budgeting process
  • Manage budget-to-actuals reporting, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Ensure efficient use of working capital through accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) oversight
  • Manage cash flow, optimize liquidity, and oversee banking relationships
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
  • Manage commission calculations and payments in coordination with revenue operations
  • Lead audit preparation and support, serving as the primary liaison with external auditors
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations at the federal, state, and local levels, including corporate income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, and nexus compliance
  • Stay updated on tax laws and oversee accurate and timely tax filings
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting and financial operations
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate financial risks
  • Lead the accounting and finance operations team, fostering a high performance culture
  • Hire, onboard, and train new accounting professionals based on business need

Preferred Qualifications

  • Youโ€˜re passionate about the healthcare and / or the medical device industry
  • Willingness to travel domestically 2-4x per year to company off-sites
  • You must have an eligible work permit in the USA or Canada to be considered for this position
