Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in the accounting field
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Proficient in fundamental accounting principles, GAAP and IFRS with a proven track record of managing and expanding accounting teams
  • Prior experience in financial department leadership, preferably at a startup or agency
  • High level of expertise in financial software and ERP systems
  • Extensive background in reconciliation and a passion for delving into complex problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to evolving business demands

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day activities related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions to improve precision and operational effectiveness
  • Take charge of month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring the prompt and accurate preparation of financial statements
  • Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to financial and legal requirements
  • Perform Profit and Loss (P&L) clean-up and variance assessments, discovering opportunities for improvement and cost efficiency
  • Evaluate and enhance partnership structures for financial effectiveness and strategic alignment
  • Oversee the approval of payments to vendors and partners, upholding financial integrity
  • Assist partners in reconciling inventory and WIP records to ensure accuracy and transparency
  • Provide expertise in managing entity changes and optimizing the company's structure for efficiency and effectiveness
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the ERP system to streamline financial processes
  • Analyze financial data to pinpoint areas for enhancement and cost optimization, guiding informed decision-making
