Requirements
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.com
- Developing and maintaining cash flow forecasts to support decision-making and ensure adequate liquidity
- Collaborating on the budgeting process, providing insights and analysis to help the company meet its financial goals
- Supporting M&A activities, including due diligence, financial analysis, and integration efforts
- Proactively identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, streamline operations, and improve efficiency
- Conducting financial analysis to provide insights into cost management, variance analysis, and performance metrics
- Collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment between financial goals and overall company objectives
- Train and develop existing and new team members of the finance department
- Bachelorβs degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
- Experience with payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- 7+ years work experience in accounting or a related field
Responsibilities
- Developing internal control guidelines, policies, and procedures for budget accounting, cash and credit management, administration, and other activities
- Coordinating and directing budgeting, procurement, investment activities, and financial planning
- Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards
- Establishing and maintaining financial controls within the accounting department
- Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis
- Guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Providing support to management, particularly in commercial and financial matters
- Creating reports that help senior leadership understand company financials
- Reviewing accounts receivable/accounts payable systems and making recommendations for improvements, streamlining, and system creation
- Conducting basic bookkeeping
- Providing periodic reporting and reviewing project financial metrics/performance
- Assisting in managing the company's financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and M&A activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of applicable laws and regulations
- Understanding of economic principles, financial markets, and banking
- Knowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting
- Deep understanding of finance
- Candidates with masterβs degree in business administration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA) or chartered global management accountant (CGMA) is a plus
