Requirements
- Meaningful accounting leadership experience, ideally blending public accounting and in-house operational roles at high-transaction, product-led SaaS companies
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, tax compliance, revenue recognition, and how to apply accounting principles across systems and processes
- Hands-on exposure to financial systems like NetSuite, Orb, or Zuora, and confidence working with large datasets in tools like Excel or Snowflake
- Proven ability to adapt in high-growth, evolving environments, bringing structure without overengineering and helping the business scale efficiently
- Experience documenting accounting policies, maintaining internal controls, and contributing to audit readiness
- Curiosity and systems thinking: interested in learning how tools, workflows, and even lightweight internal app-building can drive business impact
- A collaborative and proactive working style, with a track record of partnering cross-functionally to support deal structure, billing, and revenue processes
- A thoughtful approach to leadership and able to build and support inclusive, high-performing teams while operating independently when needed
Responsibilities
- Own and manage all compliance-related functions, including payroll, procurement, billing, collections, tax, treasury, and audit, ensuring rigorous adherence to evolving standards
- Partner cross-functionally with teams like Sales, Customer Success, Procurement, and RevOps to proactively support contract structure, billing, and revenue processes with clarity and accountability
- Prepare and review financial reports, including statutory filings, while building collaborative relationships with external auditors and internal teams across regions
- Identify opportunities to streamline finance workflows through tooling, lightweight internal app development, or AI-powered solutions, bringing a curious and systems-minded approach to how we scale
- Drive scalable, inclusive process improvements across the order-to-cash and payables cycles, balancing structure with flexibility to meet the needs of a high-volume, product-led SaaS environment
- Leverage and adapt financial systems such as NetSuite, Orb, and Airbase, with openness to exploring new tools or building lightweight internal applications to reduce manual work and increase efficiency
- Maintain audit readiness and ongoing compliance with evolving US GAAP, tax, and jurisdictional standards, helping ensure financial integrity and operational clarity
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, including tooling evaluations and deeper use of systems like Snowflake to support thoughtful, data-informed decision-making
- Foster a culture of curiosity and continuous learning, surfacing insights from customer and transactional data, identifying trends, and collaborating on solutions that help move the business forward
- Collaborate closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams to drive finance transformation, focusing on improving workflows, implementing systems, and advancing automation in an inclusive and scalable way
