Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• 5 to 7 years of accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
• CPA preferred
• Clear communicator able to effectively communicate financial performance and enforce rules in a tactful way
• Experience at a high growth company is preferred
• Public accounting experience is a plus
• Strong analytical skills
• High-energy, positive, detailed-oriented and passionate about excellence
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Self-starter with a strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting functions for the Newlab locations
• Establish scalable processes to help enable the finance and accounting team and business to further scale
• Review and analyze segment P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flows
• Build, train, and lead the accounting team when applicable
• Strategize, design, implement, and maintain effective accounting policies (GAAP), procedures, and controls
• Manage the treasury function, limiting risk and optimizing the financial result
• Design and create or optimize smart, pragmatic solutions for operational and reporting challenges
• Provide technical accounting subject matter expertise on the treatment of accounting transactions and related financial reporting requirements
• Manage external and internal auditors if/when applicable
• Provide leadership and experience to the Billing Coordinator
• Consolidate and communicate financial processes and results to the CFO
• Support the buildout of a tax risk management process
