Join a leading marketing and technology consulting firm as their experienced Controller. Manage complex financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This fully remote role requires experience in a high-volume, multi-client environment, ideally within an agency or consulting firm. A strong understanding of GAAP, US tax regulations, and financial management is essential. You will oversee accounts payable, revenue and billing, budgeting, and forecasting, while ensuring GAAP compliance and optimizing financial systems. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a controller role
• Strong proficiency with Quickbooks, or similar accounting software
• Advanced knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ability to navigate complex financial structures with multiple clients and vendors
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Highly organized and capable of managing high-volume financial operations
• Analytical and proactive, with a strategic mindset for financial planning
• Adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving business environment

Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations across multiple client accounts, each functioning as sub-accounts with distinct billing and revenue considerations
• Oversee extensive vendor relationships, ensuring accuracy and compliance in payment processing
• Work closely with account managers who function as executives over client relationships, ensuring proper reporting and financial accountability
• Develop financial forecasts and budgets tailored to an agency business model, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Ensure all financial activities comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and adhere to tax regulations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, identifying insights to support business decision-making
• Improve financial systems and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy in high-volume transactions
• Collaborate with leadership, account managers, and external auditors to maintain financial transparency and compliance
• Efficient management of vendor payments, reducing errors and delays
• Data-driven financial planning that supports company growth and profitability
• Full adherence to GAAP standards and US tax codes, minimizing risk and ensuring financial integrity
• Enhanced workflows and processes that streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an agency, consulting firm, or project-based business is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of US accounting principles (GAAP) and familiarity with the US tax code is highly advantageous
