Summary

The job is for a Controller to manage the accounting team of a small business consulting firm that provides management and IT services. The successful candidate will prepare accurate and timely monthly financial statements, oversee various accounting operations, and work closely with the CFO to improve accounting processes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years in a controller or senior accounting management position
• Demonstrated expertise of government contracting, nonprofit, or other highly regulated industries including, knowledge of Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint Time & Expense and Project Accounting, payroll, and HR administration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent customer service, team management, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work remotely with flexible hours to support the team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Paylocity and/or Bill.com
