Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a solid background in financial reporting, general ledger management, and close processes
- 5+ years of management/people leadership experience with a proven ability and desire to build and lead an effective, high performing team
- Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders, with an ability to influence for greater outcomes
- Demonstrated experience working in a hyper growth company, where change is constant, and priorities shift frequently
- Strong proficiency in SAP or other accounting software programs
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, incentive compensation, rebates, bank reconciliations, invoicing and revenue recognition to ensure financial transactions are recorded timely and accurately
- Manage AR, AP and General Accounting teams
- Hire, supervise, mentor and develop accounting team talent
- Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards, corporate accounting policies and internal controls (SOX)
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process, including journal entry review, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
- Provide guidance to the accounting team regarding closing activities, outlining expected timelines and responsibilities to ensure smooth operations that deliver on the required closing timelines for Group consolidation
- Develop and implement review processes and variance analysis to identify and prevent errors during the closing process
- Evaluate estimates, including provisions and accruals, to ensure they align with company policies and financial reporting standards
- Oversee intercompany reconciliation processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and eliminate discrepancies
- Oversee the accounting for fixed assets, including tracking acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules
- Manage sustainability reporting by providing relevant financial data and insights
- Facilitate year-end confirmation entries related to transfer pricing to ensure compliance with regulations
- Partner with FP&A team to analyze monthly activity to explain reporting variances and enhance forecasting
- Collaborate with various teams and team members regarding SOX compliance activities, internal and external audits
- Assist in purchase price accounting transactions and opening balance sheet for mergers and acquisitions
- Oversee revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS 15
- Oversee transactions related to right our use assets and leases
- Oversee transactions related to various tangible and intangible assets
- Develop and maintain documentation related to accounting policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with Group guidelines and industry best practices
- Prepare financial statements for multiple legal entities, in multiple currencies, to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data in compliance with accounting standards and IFRS
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and regulations, evaluating their impact on the organization, and implementing necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide guidance on financial principles and address any related inquiries or concerns
- Embody a shared services mindset to work cross functionally and with a variety of teams
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects aimed at improving processes, systems, and controls
- Lead implementation of corrective actions and improvements based on audit findings and recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterโs degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant or equivalent certification
- Experience with a company larger than $500M
- Experience with M&A integration and Sarbanes Oxley
- Experience with international accounting standards or working in a global organization
- Demonstrated involvement in mergers and acquisitions with an understanding of closing/purchase price accounting transactions
