Summary
Join Mutiny, Trailer Park Groupβs integrated creative agency, as a Freelance Copywriter! You will be responsible for crafting compelling copy and concepts for 360 campaigns and new business pitches within the gaming industry. This role demands a passion for gaming, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to adapt to various channels and styles. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a 360/integrated marketing agency, an award-winning portfolio, and proven experience in video game client copywriting. Location is limited to the West Coast of the US. Compensation is a daily rate of $400-$450 via W2 payroll, with potential for conversion to a full-time staff position.
Requirements
- Experience working for a 360 / integrated marketing agency is required - 5+ years of experience writing marketing/advertising copy helpful
- Award-winning or award-worthy portfolio that shows craft and attention to detail
- Experience writing copy for video game clients
- Proven experience developing campaign-level ideation
- This is a role that requires a flexible, adaptable, and calm creative individual
- Able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines; organized, detail-oriented, and friendly
- Must be even-tempered and able to interact and adapt well under pressure, with multiple teams on multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Must be able to prioritize multiple projects successfully
- Must be able to apply knowledge, experience, and learnings to real situations to help solve problems
- Candidates must be located on the West Coast of the US
- A portfolio showcasing your copywriting work samples is required upon application for this role
Responsibilities
- Concept and write for campaign-level 360 branding and messaging (gameplay trailers, live-action videos, influencer marketing & experiential activations, social/digital, and more)
- Collaborate closely with art directors, strategists, and project managers to build out and plan the campaign
- Work fluidly across channels and platforms
- Assist teams with storyboarding/shot lists/creative direction
- Implement feedback received from internal and client teams
- Proactively track, prioritize, organize, plan, and implement tasks
- Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with staff, vendors, and clients
- Performs other duties, as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
A passion for video games is important - video game campaign experience is highly preferred

- Daily rate pay range for this position is below. $400 β $450 USD
- Freelance talent at Mutiny is paid via W2 payroll
- Although this is a freelance role, we may be open to converting to staff (pending client needs, staffing plans, etc.)
