Corporate Counsel

Summary

Join Abridge, a fast-growing healthcare AI company, as Corporate Counsel. You will play a crucial role in negotiating and closing deals with various healthcare systems nationwide. Collaborate with sales and legal teams to improve commercial documents and processes, and facilitate automation. This position requires 5+ years of experience in negotiating commercial contracts within healthcare or SaaS, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and a customer-service mindset. Requirements

• Passion for Abridge’s mission and the energy and drive to support a fast-moving commercial team
• A customer-service mindset; we approach our deals as collaborative projects and treat negotiations as a tool to establish strong partnerships with our customers
• 5+ years experience negotiating commercial contracts in the healthcare or SaaS space
• Comfort with juggling a high volume of contracts, tight timelines, and competing priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work independently; interest in joining a small team that prioritizes autonomy and trust
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with technical teams, designers, and sales teams
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with technical teams, designers, and sales teams, building relationships and earning their confidence
• Creativity in solving and navigating novel contractual matters; experience in crafting new approaches and language to meet the needs of a rapidly-moving enterprise in a novel industry

Responsibilities

• Negotiate commercial transactions with a wide range of customers and vendors
• Work with our commercial legal team and sales team in iterating on and improving our core commercial documents and terms and developing playbooks and processes for improving accuracy and efficiency
• Facilitate automation and efficiencies in collaboration with our Legal Ops pro

Preferred Qualifications

• Some familiarity and understanding of recent trends in artificial intelligence, with a specific focus on language models
• Prior in-house experience is a plus, though not a requirement for this role
• Experience in an additional area: SaaS, international, IP, privacy, etc
