Summary
Join Instacart's Corporate Engineering team as an experienced IT engineer. Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate engineering initiatives, supporting Instacart's mission and growth. You will provide technology support in client platforms, IT security, and IT solutions engineering. Collaborate effectively across departments, leveraging strong communication and interpersonal skills. This role involves automating and enhancing processes, staying updated on emerging technologies, and managing various SaaS applications. You will monitor system performance, provide technical guidance, and partner with internal teams and vendors on large-scale IT projects.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of IT engineering or technical operations experience
- Strong knowledge of common enterprise applications such as Atlassian, Google Workspace, Intune, Jamf, Slack and Zoom
- Deep understanding of standard protocols, such as SCIM, SAML, OIDC, APIs, and identity and security best practices
- Experience with Okta administration and configuring SAML, SSO, Automation, Provisioning, De-Provisioning of Accounts, Okta Workflows, Access Request designs, and orchestration tools
- 3-5 years of scripting or tool building in a modern language, with Python preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges
- A consistent track record of delivering a range of complex, high-impact projects
- Demonstrated understanding of information security principles and IT infrastructure best practices
- Self motivated
- A strong sense of ownership
Responsibilities
- Automate and enhance processes using scripting
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, assessing potential benefits and implementation strategies to enhance company systems
- Responsible for standard configuration, user administration, security, workflow, data management and integrations for applications such as Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, and similar
- Manage the administration, day-to-day operations, and troubleshooting of SaaS applications, endpoint management, and identity processes to ensure efficient operations
- Monitor system performance, address bottlenecks, and implement solutions to maintain efficiency
- Perform regular system updates and patches, ensuring the latest security standards are applied
- Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams on new system features or upgrades
- Develop and maintain clear and concise documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and knowledge transfer
- Partner with IT PMs, IT Support, and third-party vendors on large-scale IT projects, such as software upgrades, network installations, and security enhancements
Preferred Qualifications
- Project management experience or certification
- 2+ years developing tooling for a VDI environment (eg, VMware, AWS Workspaces)
- Jamf administration experience, and/or certifications
- Okta Certified Administrator or Developer certification
Benefits
Hourly Pay Range: CAN: $47-54/hour (Annually $91k - $105k)
