Summary

The job is for a Counsel & Director of Compliance at YipitData, a fast-growing financial tech company. The role involves managing the corporate and regulatory compliance program, collaborating with various teams, and working remotely.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree (or foreign equivalent) and active law license in at least one state in good standing (or eligibility to register as authorized in-house counsel)
• At least 5 years of experience practicing law at a major law firm or in the legal department of a financial, tech, or high-growth company

Responsibilities

• Integrate into the day-to-day operations of product, research, and data teams, providing legal, business, and strategic advice
• Provide oversight and legal advice with respect to YipitData’s global compliance program
• Review new technologies and unique data sets which will be analyzed and transformed by the product and research teams
• Lead company-wide strategic initiatives including advising senior management, and coordinating and driving cross-stakeholder alignment on complex projects
• Collaborate with the company's product, research, and data licensing teams to counsel on legal issues across the entire product lifecycle
