Managing Commercial Counsel

Summary

Join Signifyd as a Managing Commercial Counsel in San Jose, CA or other preferred locations (New York City, Denver, Salt Lake City) to review, draft, revise, negotiate, and advise on complex commercial transactions. This role involves supporting the global sales team, managing a team of contracts managers, and working closely with other key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a mid-level to senior attorney with 5-10+ years of experience in commercial and tech transactions.

Requirements

• JD degree, with admission to a state bar
• 5-10+ years of experience, with a strong background in commercial and tech transactions and revenue generating deals

Responsibilities

• Independently draft and negotiate a variety of commercial transactions, including complex subscription agreements, partnership deals
• Lead and manage a team of contracts managers supporting go-to-market portfolio of ecommerce merchants in the U.S., EMEA, Mexico, and South America
• Support other cross-functional teams, such as marketing, partnerships, and product with commercial and vendor transactions

Preferred Qualifications

• Has lead, trained, and developed a team of contract managers or similar teams
• Familiarity with (i) payments, fintech or financial institutions and/or (ii) machine learning models
