Country Manager

Summary

Join dLocal, a global leader in payment processing, and spearhead local payment processing initiatives for international merchants in Chile. This strategic leadership role requires driving partnerships, ensuring operational excellence, and navigating the dynamic fintech landscape. You will build relationships with acquirers and banks, develop commercial partnerships, and collaborate with internal teams. Requirements

• Proven experience in payments or financial systems in Chile
• Familiarity with payments regulatory framework
• Significant experience in negotiating and executing contracts and agreements
• Established a business network in Chile’s financial ecosystem
• A self-starter who thrives in fast-changing, ambiguous environments
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a proven ability to align diverse teams
• Strategic thinker who takes smart risks based on a deep understanding of partnerships and market dynamics
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Team player capable of leading projects and contributing as an effective team member
• Flexibility to work across time zones and collaborate with global teams
• Fluent English

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential partners, including acquirers and banks, building strong, long-term relationships
• Develop and finalize commercial partnerships and agreements, ensuring mutual success
• Work closely with internal operations, product, and technology teams to align on partnership integration and roadmap execution
• Analyze results, identify trends, and implement improvements to enhance operational capabilities for local payment methods
• Stay informed on local regulatory and licensing requirements, ensuring compliance and guiding business decisions
• Partner with merchants and commercial teams to drive the development and optimization of key payment products
• Maintain a strong professional network, participate in industry organizations, and attend relevant conferences and events
• Collaborate with local lawyers, accountants, and tax experts to maintain smooth and compliant operations
