Summary
Join dLocal, a global leader in enabling payments in emerging markets, and lead our strategy and partnerships in Thailand. You will be responsible for contacting and building relationships with potential partners (acquirers and banks), negotiating and executing commercial partnerships, working with internal teams on operational and technological integration, analyzing performance, and optimizing payment methods. This role requires proven experience in payments or financial systems in Asia, strong negotiation skills, a proven business network, and a commitment to compliance with Thai regulations. Requirements
- Be open to constant change in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, be a self-starter, and be open to working across time zones with teams all over the world
- Have proven experience in payments or other financial systems in Asia
- Have proven success partnering and working cross-functionally to make things happen
- Have significant experience negotiating and executing contracts and agreements
- Have an established relevant business network
- Be willing and able to take smart risks based on solid strategy and deep partnership understanding
- Be a team player - can effectively lead a project or participate as an effective team member as well as work cross-functionally with other organizations
- Have a curious profile and positive attitude
- Have thorough knowledge of the market
- Have a commitment to compliance and understanding of the regulatory environment in Thailand
Responsibilities
- Contact potential partners - acquirers and banks - and build relationships with them
- Negotiate and execute commercial partnerships and agreements
- Work with internal teams on operations/product/technology roadmap and integration of partnerships
- Analyze performance results and optimize accordingly
- Improve operational capabilities for the different payment methods
- Stay on top of local regulatory/licensing requirements and how it impacts our business
- Work closely with merchants and commercial team, focusing on the development of key products
- Maintain personal networks, participate in professional organizations, attend conferences and industry events
- Contact local lawyers, accountants and tax experts to ensure the operation is running accordingly
- Stay on top of local regulations and engage with regulators if necessary
