Customer Service Agent in Japan

Summary

PeopleCert, a global leader in best practices and essential skills evaluation and certification, is hiring customer service agents to handle incoming requests from exam takers in Japan or Asia. Customer service is provided through chat, phone, and email. Japanese language proficiency is preferred for the role, but English proficiency at C1 level is also acceptable. The job involves responding to queries related to certifications and tests, teamwork, and achieving optimal results.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (regardless of major)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in similar roles
• Passion for customer service
• Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level, LanguageCert C1 LTE or C1 IESOL) and Japanese (C2 level, native)
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable

Responsibilities

• Handle customer inquiries from exam takers via email, chat, or phone
• Respond to queries related to certifications and tests
• Collaborate with teams and deliver optimal results

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in certification business or related fields
• Computer literacy and experience using common software like Excel and business systems
