Summary

The Customer Support Associate will be the first point of contact for Baselane customers, assisting with inquiries, resolving issues, and providing information about products and services. This role offers opportunities to develop communication skills, gain valuable experience, and grow within the company. The role is based in Toronto and requires occasional visits to the office.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as some college coursework or relevant experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in business software (e.g., Google Suite, CRM systems)
  • Positive attitude, ability to empathize with customers, and a genuine desire to assist others
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers via phone, email, and chat, providing timely and helpful answers to their questions
  • Help customers troubleshoot issues and find solutions, turning their challenges into positive experiences
  • Maintain a cheerful and professional demeanor, making every interaction a pleasant one
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions to ensure we can provide the best possible support
  • Work closely with your teammates and other departments to ensure we all work together to keep our customers happy
  • Keep yourself updated on our products, services, and company policies so you can confidently assist our customers
  • Check in with customers to ensure their issues are completely resolved and they’re fully satisfied with our service

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or support role is advantageous but not required
  • Familiarity with customer support software and tools is a plus (e.g. Zendesk, Intercom)
  • Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
