Summary
Join Brilliant, a rapidly growing, fully remote company, as a Data Analyst. This pivotal role involves leveraging data to drive decisions and improve processes. You will work with a strong team, utilizing SQL, BI software, and Python to analyze data and create dashboards. The ideal candidate possesses at least 3 years of experience in data analysis, proficiency in SQL and spreadsheets, and experience with BI tools. Requirements
- At least 3+ years of experience in a data analyst or business analyst role
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets
- Expert-level skills in spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets), with a proven ability to automate processes, and perform complex analyses
- Experience owning, maintaining and implementing business intelligence tools like Metabase, Tableau, Looker, or similar
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Business, Economics, or related discipline)
- Previous experience at a company with physical goods and fulfillment / warehouse related data
Responsibilities
- Utilize SQL, BI software, Python, and spreadsheets to analyze, interpret, and deliver actionable insights
- Create, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reporting systems using tools like Metabase, Dbt, or Looker
- Partner with engineers to understand complex data structures and translate them into user-friendly reporting solutions
- Work closely with functional leaders across departments to understand their data needs and deliver strong, actionable reports and dashboards.You don’t just pull the data, you can help stakeholders make informed decisions through your analysis and interpretation of the data
- Design and implement easy-to-use reporting tools for junior-level employees, empowering them with data without needing advanced training
- Present findings and insights to leadership and the broader company, helping tell the story of where Brilliant’s coming from and where it’s going with data
- Continuously refine processes for better data accuracy, usability, and scalability

- A self-starter who thrives as a team of one while effectively collaborating across departments
- Strong communication skills to work with functional leaders, understand their data needs, and deliver exceptional results
- Ability to build self-serve tools that empower team members with minimal data experience
- A spreadsheet wizard who can perform miracles in Excel and teach others to do the same
- Experience juggling and prioritizing multiple projects, requests and initiatives while maintaining focus and meeting deadlines
- A storyteller who can transform data into actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to leaders and teams
- Passion for creating impactful reporting tools that drive informed decisions across the organization
