Data Analyst

Summary

The job is for a Data Analyst at Gridware who will monitor and analyze real-time data from the company's power grid monitoring devices to prevent potential disasters. The role requires a STEM degree, proficiency in English, basic understanding of data analytics and anomaly detection, and the ability to work 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• STEM degree (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics)
• Proficiency in English - must be able to efficiently communicate event information
• Basic understanding of data analytics and anomaly detection
• A passion for working in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, proactive, able to perform duties without supervision
• Flexibility with scheduling, especially during the first two months

Responsibilities

• Monitoring real-time data streams from field sensors and responding to alerts
• Following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to investigate and localize real-time faults with minimal error
• Working efficiently with Supervisors on ad-hoc data requests, and following up during ongoing investigations

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic proficiency with Python programming
• Research experience (STEM preferred)
• Experience working with metadata or data annotation
• Experience with real-time work and/or making reports
