Summary
Join Netlify's Data & Insights team as a Data Analyst (Product and GTM) and become a data-driven influencer, setting standards for data and analytics usage. Partner with product and GTM teams, define critical analytical problems, and drive data-driven recommendations. This remote-first role offers the opportunity to work with a passionate, motivated team. You will research customer behavior and market trends, analyze product data, and collaborate with Product Management to build better customer solutions. The role involves working with large datasets, performing complex SQL queries, and utilizing a robust data stack (Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, and Sigma). You will be a key contributor to data-driven decision-making, influencing product strategy and business health.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in a data analytics role within a tech/saas company, where you've partnered cross-functionally to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
- A history of supporting product-led growth stakeholders and influencing their decision-making with data
- Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, particularly data mining, manipulation, and exploration
- Proficiency in writing performant, complex SQL queries combining multiple sources of data
- A full-stack mindset - you're more than just a data analyst: you’re comfortable contributing to light data engineering work, especially when supporting data transformations or modeling
- Strong familiarity with our tech stack: Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, and Sigma
- The ability to evaluate metrics critically - you understand how KPIs might mislead or overestimate outcomes, and you question underlying assumptions
- Clear communication and confidence, collaborating with senior leaders in a fast-moving, evolving environment
- An appetite for learning and a passion for the role of data in helping solve complex questions
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills
- We welcome remote candidates based in North American timezones
Responsibilities
- Work closely with leaders across product and marketing to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions
- Partner with stakeholders to understand their business needs; become an expert in translating these needs into specific analyses with actionable insights
- Advocate for improvements to data tracking, quality, and performance
- Be a driving influencer on the use and application of analysis; deliver what’s needed, and show what’s possible. In your analysis, you’ll use multiple data sources to discover what is going well for our customers, where we can improve, and what to build next
- Conduct quantitative analysis of user behavior to uncover issues or opportunities to improve our customers’ experience
- Inform the product strategy via the outcomes of tests and experiments
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and will benefit from the support of the Data & Insights Team, sharing ideas and debating approaches
- Construct the core dashboards, visualizations, and analyses to help stakeholders monitor business health and make better decisions
- Perform ad hoc analyses of user behavior to inform specific, near-term experiment designs or product decisions, or long-term product strategy
- Ask the right questions to uncover the core business problem, especially when analyzing conversion data, forecasting trends, or identifying opportunities to drive revenue
- Utilize data to proactively explore opportunities, validate assumptions, and inform business decisions that drive meaningful initiatives
- Leverage our data stack of Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, and Sigma across the full analytics workflow, from ingestion to modeling to visualization
Preferred Qualifications
- You’re curious and enjoy asking thoughtful questions to uncover the root of a business problem
- You’ve spent the last few years in data analytics roles at SaaS companies, helping teams make smarter decisions through meaningful insights and collaborating with senior leaders directly
- You enjoy working across the full analytics stack, from ingesting and modeling data to surfacing insights in dashboards or experimentation
- You get excited about contributing to Netlify’s growth by identifying how data can help monetize the platform and influence product direction
- You’re comfortable in environments where ambiguity, speed, and change are the norm
- You appreciate both detail-oriented investigation and big-picture thinking, especially when it comes to shaping KPIs and forecasting growth
- You value tools that support your work, especially platforms like Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, and Sigma
Benefits
- Our base compensation for this role is targeted at $110,000 - $149,000 for most US-based locations
- Candidates outside the US or in premium markets should consult with their Talent Acquisition partner regarding location-based ranges, as they may be higher or lower than the average US range listed
- The starting pay will be determined based on multiple factors, including expertise and skills, market demands, experience, internal equity, and applicable geographic location
- These compensation packages and ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future
