Summary

Join our consultancy as an Associate Consultant, Data Analyst for a 3-month contract (with potential extension to full-time) and leverage your data analysis skills to create impactful dashboards and reports. You will analyze large datasets, apply statistical methods, design interactive dashboards using Tableau, and write efficient SQL queries. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings to diverse audiences, and ensure data accuracy and integrity. This role requires strong SQL and Tableau experience, analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and project management abilities. Familiarity with data pipelines and Python is a plus. The preferred location is Kansas City, but remote work may be considered for strong candidates.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and transformation
  • Strong experience in Tableau for data visualization and reporting
  • Knowledge of procedural logic concepts for creating advanced visualizations
  • Critical thinking and statistical expertise to interpret trends and align data insights with business goals
  • Ability to work with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for delivering findings to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain data accuracy
  • A collaborative approach to working across departments

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that align with business objectives
  • Apply statistical methods to interpret data and provide actionable recommendations
  • Design and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau to visualize data and insights effectively
  • Write efficient SQL queries to extract data from existing databases, ensuring precision and clarity
  • Partner with stakeholders to tailor reporting solutions that meet specific needs
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver meaningful insights
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences through clear, concise reports and presentations
  • Identify and address potential data issues or biases proactively
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity by following industry governance best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with building production data pipelines or experience with no-code ETL tools for managing data pipelines
  • Familiarity with python
  • Being based in Kansas City to collaborate with our team onsite, as needed
