Data Analyst

Summary

Join Zumo's Data team as a Data Analyst! This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their data needs, translating them into actionable analysis plans, and contributing to the enhancement of ETL processes. You will create insightful reports, communicate complex data insights effectively, and support data governance. The ideal candidate possesses advanced SQL and Python skills, experience with data visualization tools, and a strong communication ability. Requirements

• Coding skills: SQL (advanced) & Python
• Degree level qualification in data science, mathematics, statistics or other numerical discipline
• Successful track record in delivering data-driven solutions with limited senior support
• Strong communication skills - has the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences to different levels within an organisation, and is able to write clear documentation on technical projects, as well as translate workflows into logical sequences
• 2-5 years of experience in analytical roles

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable analysis plans
• Contribute to the enhancement of established ETL processes in our AWS stack to integrate additional data sources
• Create detailed and insightful reports that summarise findings and recommendations
• Use storytelling techniques to communicate complex data insights effectively
• Support data governance by identifying and working with the wider team to address data quality issues, such as missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies
• Promote data literacy across the organisation by supporting roadshows on data activities

Preferred Qualifications

• PySpark
• Visualisation & Reporting experience through packages other than Excel, e.g. Power BI, Tableau
