Summary
Join GoodParty.org as a Data Product Manager or Senior Product Manager to contribute to a mission focused on empowering independent candidates in US elections. You will leverage data analysis and product management skills to build and improve tools that support independent candidates. Responsibilities include creating data-driven product roadmaps, designing user funnels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of experience in data-driven product development, a strong understanding of SQL, and a passion for improving democratic processes. Requirements
- You’re a proven A-player with a 5+ year track record of building data driven tech products, with increasing responsibility and success
- You’ve either built something from scratch or were very early on a product that went from 0 or 0.5 to 1 (and beyond)
- You get obsessed with data and the user. You research them and proactively try to make them as successful as possible by improving the data provided within the product
- You’re analytical with a metrics mindset, plus you’ve got the data, optimization, and problem solving skills to ensure products meet their potential
- You’re productizing emerging Generative-AI tools and understand prompt engineering both to scale yourself and improve products and features
- You have an engineering or quantitative degree and a strong understanding of SQL
- You have a baseline understanding of how the American political system works
- You’re organized and prefer to work within lean and Kanban processes alongside design and development
- You love diving in to understand relevant products and figuring out if there are opportunities to integrate
- You’re able to work independently and also enjoy collaborating with others to iteratively solve problems in real-time. You thrive working at the startup speed that our mission demands
- You pursue understanding user perspectives and behavior with curiosity and empathy
- You communicate directly, honestly, and are open to candid feedback
Responsibilities
- Look at data, architecture and ideal outcomes and apply quantitative and qualitative methods to validate these ideas, learn from user interactions or feedback, and improve metrics on existing products
- Draft requirements and create a roadmap for data within our products with a bias toward efficiently getting to the design stage
- Create cohesive funnels that drive user adoption, growth, and unlock a viable path for independent candidates
- Turn ideas into scalable product solutions that empower independents to run for office, run winning campaigns, and serve in office
- Collaborate on product vision, strategy, and roadmap with the product team, data team member and politics team stakeholders
- Align company’s data assets with our business goals, collaborating with data engineers, data researcher and data scientist to analyze and build data solutions
- Leverage your passion for users to organize user research and testing across our politically diverse user base in collaboration with the design team
- Productizing emerging AI tools and understanding prompt engineering to improve our products and features and scale yourself
Preferred Qualifications
- You have experience working in small, tight-knit, fast-paced remote teams
- You’ve got experience studying, working, or volunteering in politics, civics, or democracy reform
- You are anti-establishment and are sick of sitting on the sidelines watching our democracy fail to meet its potential
