Requirements

• Possess strong experience in time series forecasting, predictive analytics, and statistical modeling
• Be proficient in Python and its ecosystem for data science (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Statsmodels, Scikit-learn)
• Have a solid understanding of classical forecasting techniques (ARIMA, SARIMA, Prophet, Exponential Smoothing) and modern machine learning methods
• Have experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) for model training and deployment
• Be familiar with big data processing frameworks (EMR and PySpark)
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions
• Have an understanding of the payments industry, including transaction patterns, fraud detection, and compliance requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain robust time series forecasting models to predict business-critical KPIs such as transaction volumes, fraud detection rates, and revenue trends
• Design and optimize data pipelines to ensure efficient model training and inference in production
• Implement scalable forecasting solutions that integrate seamlessly with business intelligence tools and real-time monitoring systems
• Apply state-of-the-art techniques, including deep learning for time series (LSTMs, Transformers), probabilistic forecasting, and ensemble methods
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers to ensure that forecasting insights translate into actionable business strategies
• Ensure models remain accurate and relevant through continuous monitoring, retraining, and validation
• Conduct research and experimentation to improve forecasting accuracy, reduce prediction uncertainty, and incorporate external influencing factors
• Automate reporting and alerting mechanisms for forecast deviations and anomaly detection
• Mentor team members and promote best practices in time series modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning

Preferred Qualifications

• Have previous experience in a fintech or financial services environment
• Have experience with anomaly detection techniques for financial transactions
• Be familiar with Explainable AI (XAI) techniques to interpret model predictions
• Have experience with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis)
