Summary
Join Moodle and build a team from scratch, supporting sales teams in demoing cutting-edge Moodle instances. This key role involves overseeing the design, development, and updates of demo sites, collaborating with designers, gathering feedback, and tailoring demos to customer needs. You will develop a roadmap for exemplary demo sites, support sales teams with in-house demonstrations, and foster a positive team culture. The ideal candidate has a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent experience, experience managing a web development team, and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent commercial experience
- Experience managing a team within a web development, design, or product management environment
- Ability to demonstrate empathy with the end-user's needs and perspective
- Understanding of software development, design principles, and best practices thoroughly
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Solutions-focused attitude and is a strong team player
- High organisation skills and ability to manage your workload to meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the design, development, and ongoing updates of demo sites
- Ensuring demo sites function smoothly and are updated regularly with new product releases
- Collaborating with the UX/Graphic Designer to ensure demo sites offer a seamless and engaging user experience
- Gathering feedback and insights from internal teams like product managers, marketing, partner, and sales
- Tailoring demo sites to different customer needs, demonstrating Moodle's value propositions
- Developing and maintaining a clear roadmap and vision for exemplary demo sites
- Ensuring demo sites generate leads and serve as a sales and marketing tool
- Supporting sales teams by creating in-house demonstrations of Moodle's capabilities
- Promoting a positive team culture aligned with Moodle's values
- Actively manage and lead team members, fostering their professional growth
- Reviewing team performance, implementing development plans, and conducting feedback sessions
- Supporting recruitment and managing onboarding for new team members
- Driving the implementation of agile methodologies within the team
- Leading planning and execution of team projects, ensuring delivery for each release
- Tracking team progress on Jira and reporting progress to leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in people leadership, mentoring and coaching
- Similar LMS/Industry/Demonstration Building experience
- Understanding of Moodle
