Join our team at Galaxy as a Level I Desktop Support person to support the firm and its users globally, with daily on-site presence required at our London offices. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
  • At least one technical certificate such as A+, Network+, Microsoft MTA, Cisco, etc, is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for all IT related issues
  • Experience with Windows, MacOS and iOS related items

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the IT Helpdesk team to ensure users receive comprehensive support for their IT needs
  • Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for software applications, operating systems, hardware devices, and network connectivity issues
  • Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools
  • Document all support interactions and solutions in the helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring accurate and thorough record-keeping
  • Update and maintain an inventory of devices
  • Deploy Image builds on Windows/Mac Devices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience identifying recurring issues and recommend solutions for process improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical users
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive attitude in all interactions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines
