Summary

Join Stingray Direct, a fast-paced, direct-to-consumer company, as a full-time Shopify Developer! This 100% remote position (PST/MST required) involves developing and maintaining Shopify storefronts, landing pages, and other digital environments. You will optimize shopping experiences, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the company's e-commerce strategy. Experience with Shopify theme development, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is essential. The role offers opportunities for professional growth and a chance to work with health, wellness, and beauty brands. Familiarity with the supplement industry is a plus. This position reports to the Senior Shopify Developer.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with Shopify theme development (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS)
• Familiarity with Shopify Admin API and GraphQL API
• Experience with Single Page Application principles
• Proficient in responsive design, mobile optimization, and SEO best practices
• Experience with tools like Git and CI/CD workflows
• Understanding of accessibility compliance (WCAG), cross-browser/device testing, and best practices for ensuring fast and scalable websites
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality execution
• Proactive learner with a growth mindset
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment
• Self-organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Required: 3–5 years of experience in Shopify development
• Portfolio of Shopify storefronts and landing pages or similar projects

Responsibilities

• Build, customize, and optimize Shopify themes and landing pages using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including frameworks like React.js or Vue.js), and JSON
• Ensure all digital environments are developed with a mobile-first approach, prioritizing load times and optimizing content settings for speed
• Stay current with e-commerce trends, Shopify platform updates, emerging technologies, and new tools that can enhance the customer journey and overall site performance
• Continuously refine checkout processes, upsells, cross-sells, and subscription models to improve conversion rates, increase average order values, and other targeted KPIs
• Implement sustainable coding practices
• Collaborate and support cross-functional team requests
• Recommend and support the integration and maintenance of industry-leading Shopify apps and vendor platforms to improve overall performance.(e.g., ReCharge, Klaviyo, ReBuy, AfterSell, Okendo)
• Translate wireframes and concepts into functional, visually appealing interfaces in collaboration with designers and developers
• Ensure brand consistency and quality across all design elements and site functionalities
• Participate in peer reviews and test cycles to ensure code quality and proper functionality before deployment
• Conduct regular storefront and landing page audits & resolve issues in a timely manner
• Support version control protocols using Git and CI/CD tools for staging and deployment
• Assist in site monitoring and debugging performance issues or customer-reported bugs
• Utilize Shopify Analytics, GA, & other tools to monitor site performance & user behavior
• Develop and implement A/B tests to evaluate design and functionality
• Utilize A/B testing and data-driven insights to enhance digital experiences continually
• Support the implementation and maintenance of security best practices, including regular updates, backups, and vulnerability assessments
• Support contingency plans to address data breaches, downtime, or system failures
• Support compliance practices by implementing and maintaining global regulations, such as ADA, GDPR, CCPA, and PCI-DSS standards across digital environments
• Prioritize accessibility compliance (WCAG) to provide inclusive shopping experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Familiarity with e-commerce health/wellness or supplement brands is a plus
• Experience with third-party e-commerce apps like ReCharge, Klaviyo, Yotpo, or Rebuy
• Shopify certifications or coursework preferred
