Requirements

  • Management experience of end to end development of new solutions for Cloud and on premise deployment with excellent UI/UX capability under Agile development methodologies
  • Strong resource and cost management experience including budgeting, estimating and actuals monitoring and control
  • Sound knowledge of the sales process and experience in contributing to complex winning bids
  • Past experience of delivery projects using either SCRUM or Kanban methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills with significant experience of leading technical discussions and design sessions with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Significant experience of presenting complex ideas simply and effectively to a variety of audiences using formal and informal presentation styles including in diagrammatic form
  • Ability to manage technical challenges from internal and external stakeholders in a persuasive and influential manner

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of Technical Architects and developers in the decomposition of end-user requirements with Product Management to detailed technical specifications under agile methodologies (Kanban / SCRUM)
  • Manage software development and testing process to the system requirements and specifications (including automated testing tools)
  • Manage budget estimates, planning resources, risk management, development practices, and input to commercial propositions
  • Manage end-to-end development life cycle monitoring risk and taking actions as required to achieve budget targets
  • Manage development, test, and production environments and testing cycles from Unit, System, Integration, and UAT
  • Manage staff, both on and offshore, including day-to-day work allocation, performance management, recruitment and overall team performance
  • Perform relevant roles and responsibilities within Kanban/Agile methodologies and ensure sprints are successful and meet stakeholder requirements
  • Ensure technical pre-requisites are well understood, documented and articulated both internally and externally and in a manner that removes ambiguity from the delivery phase of customer projects
  • Work closely with Health Director of Operation to ensure software is released to customers on time and to required quality
  • Support product & project managers in the initial phases of the delivery process, to ensure our solutions are deployed in line with company best practices and that project obligations of our customer are met
  • Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently
  • Approve and remain accountable for all estimates for all Health software Solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sound all round technical software knowledge including C#, WPF, WCF, LINQ to SQL, PHP, Web Services, XML/HTTP protocols, scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript) and standard Microsoft technologies
  • Exposure to and/or experience of requirements for deployment of software solutions in the Cloud (e.g. Azure, AWS)
