Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience with C/C++, Python, Go, and/or Rust (in the classroom or from another internship)
  • Understanding of network programming fundamentals, particularly with networking, data structures, and data models
  • Ability to collaborate on a team, but execute independently
  • Comfortable in a high-trust, adaptable, team environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of software applications as part of an Agile Scrum team, ensuring alignment with client requirements
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings to support team collaboration and project progress
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code under the guidance of senior developers and adhere to coding standards and best practices
  • Conduct unit and integration testing to identify and fix software defects, ensuring the quality and reliability of the delivered solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members, including developers, testers, product owners, and Scrum Masters, to deliver high-quality software
  • Contribute innovative ideas and suggestions to improve software development processes, project outcomes, and team efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or coursework in software development using languages such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and an understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues
  • Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git, and experience with collaborative development tools like Jira or Confluence
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn from and contribute to a collaborative team environment
