Summary

Sky Mavis is seeking a DevOps Engineer to maintain and scale their system for its blockchain game, Axie Infinity. The role requires expertise in cloud computing, container technologies, network fundamentals, coding, automation pipelines, and SQL/NoSQL databases. A problem-solving attitude, quick learning ability, teamwork skills, and a passion for gaming are also essential.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Linux system administration with in-depth knowledge of container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP and Internet routing)
• Strong coding ability in Bash, Python, or Go
• Experience setting up automation pipelines (CI/CD, Github Action, Jenkins) and configuration management/IaC
• Comfortable working with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Responsibilities

• Maintain the robustness and reliability of the system to operate and scale to potentially millions of users
• Apply cloud computing skills to deploy releases and upgrades
• Apply best practices to improve the company's computing architecture (server monitoring, micro-services management)
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines)
• Improve company engineering tools, procedures, and data security

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL databases (Postgres, MySQL), NoSQL (Redis, Elasticsearch), Typescripts, Go, and Solidity would be highly preferable
• Problem-solving attitude
• Quick learning ability
• Team player and can work closely with the rest of our team
