Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, networking, system administration, or similar functions
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred but GCP or Azure also accepted)
  • Experience with IaC (Terraform preferred but Chef, Ansible, Puppet or similar tools also accepted)
  • Proficiency in scripting (Shell or Bash but Python preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools, including GitHub Actions or similar
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Grafana
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

  • Manage and provision AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and optimized
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins
  • Implement and maintain security tools to ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, addressing root causes efficiently
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide technical support and solve integration challenges
  • Document processes and solutions to create consistent, reusable resources for the team
  • Support government projects by ensuring platform compliance and implementing security hardening measures
  • Identify and address technical debt, proactively improving infrastructure and processes
  • Serve as a resource for teams across the organization, providing expertise on cloud infrastructure

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of networking and security principles in cloud environments
  • Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Experience with Postgres or other database management systems
  • Knowledge of microservice infrastructure and deployments
  • Familiarity with highly regulated industries, such as healthcare or government compliance
