Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, networking, system administration, or similar functions
- Experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred but GCP or Azure also accepted)
- Experience with IaC (Terraform preferred but Chef, Ansible, Puppet or similar tools also accepted)
- Proficiency in scripting (Shell or Bash but Python preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools, including GitHub Actions or similar
- Familiarity with observability tools like Datadog or Grafana
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset
Responsibilities
- Manage and provision AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and optimized
- Automate CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins
- Implement and maintain security tools to ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, addressing root causes efficiently
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide technical support and solve integration challenges
- Document processes and solutions to create consistent, reusable resources for the team
- Support government projects by ensuring platform compliance and implementing security hardening measures
- Identify and address technical debt, proactively improving infrastructure and processes
- Serve as a resource for teams across the organization, providing expertise on cloud infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
- Solid understanding of networking and security principles in cloud environments
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Experience with Postgres or other database management systems
- Knowledge of microservice infrastructure and deployments
- Familiarity with highly regulated industries, such as healthcare or government compliance
