Join Xometry's international team as a MFG/DFM Engineer and play a key role in coordinating product development and launch. You will act as a liaison between customers and suppliers, ensuring a smooth transition from design to production. This position requires expertise in metalworking methods, various materials, and DFM analysis. The ideal candidate possesses a higher engineering education and at least 3 years of experience, preferably in the automotive field. Xometry offers a full-time position with a flexible work arrangement (home office + contract as an Individual Entrepreneur), competitive salary, and a supportive team environment. Requirements
- Higher engineering education - metal processing engineer, design engineer or similar
- Experience in the role of engineer from 3 years
- Expert knowledge of various metalworking methods
- Knowledge of various metal and plastic post-processes: polishing, hardening, heat treatment, anodizing, sanding/blasting, coatings, painting, etc
- Knowledge of various structural materials and their machining properties: metals, plastics, composites
- High conversational and written level of English
- Willingness and desire to work in a fast-growing business atmosphere, willingness to change
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development and launch of the product into production
- Act as a liaison between the customer and the supplier company
- Ensure the transition from design to production through concurrent engineering activities with process engineers
- Implement all changes to the production system related to product modifications (at the level of engineering change management)
- Ensure manufacturability
- Report all production risk analyses and associated action plans and capabilities
- Lead product definition (completion of CAD) completed and development to ensure compliance to requirements (acceptance of customer product specification including geometry convergence)
- Perform DFM analysis
- Apply the production management system, engineering change management, as well as tools and standards
- Ensure that the main production stages are successfully completed on time
