Summary

Join Middle Seat, a full-service firm for progressive causes, as a paid digital advertising intern for Fall 2025 (September-November 2025). This internship involves working with the advertising team, trafficking ads, writing ad copy and petitions, analyzing ad performance, and handling administrative tasks. The role can be performed remotely or in-person at our Washington, D.C. office. Ideal candidates are excited about working for left-leaning clients, enjoy testing creative options and analyzing data, are technically adept, detail-oriented, and organized. The internship is open to seniors, those in their final year of an undergraduate program, or recent graduates. A commitment to working for progressive political campaigns and being a team player is essential.

Requirements

  • You’re excited by the idea of working for left-wing and Democratic clients doing great work on the ground
  • You enjoy the idea of testing different creative options and analyzing performance data of each testing variant
  • You’re technically adept and pick up new tools easily
  • You’re detail-oriented and organized
  • You’re a senior, in your last year of an undergraduate program, or a recent grad
  • Are committed to working for progressive political campaigns
  • Are a team player
  • Follow along with the news of the day and have a solid understanding of the U.S. political system, political campaigns, and key progressive issues (i.e. abortion, racial justice, labor, climate change, etc.)
  • Can commit to full-time (40-hour work week) or near full-time availability, with consistent hours each week (our hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM ET)
  • Are based in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Traffic ads
  • Write ad copy and petitions
  • Pull together reports
  • Analyze ads performance
  • Handle some administrative tasks
  • Other responsibilities as requested

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have a background in social media management or digital advertising
  • Have worked on a political campaign, advocacy organization, or nonprofit
  • Have some experience in Facebook Business Manager and Google Ads
  • Are a fantastic writer
