Summary

Join CellCarta, a Contract Research Organization, as the Director, Business Development (Lab Logistics) – North America. In this role, you will drive new business within North America, focusing on lead generation, pipeline management, and deal negotiation. You will identify and develop strategic business opportunities within pharmaceutical and biotech organizations. Close collaboration with the business development and functional teams is crucial to meet aggressive growth targets. This position requires proven relationship-building skills and sales experience within a CRO or health services company. CellCarta offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements

  • Possess a relevant degree in a life science subject such as Immunology, Biology, Pathology, Genomics etc
  • Have proven relationship building skills and the ability to pursue new opportunities through the ability to connect with others, unveil new potential prospects and share the value of the CellCarta Logistics services
  • Minimum 2 years’ proven business development and sales experience within a Contract Research Organization (“CRO”) or health services company
  • Strong command of spoken and written English is essential
  • Have a high level of credibility interfacing with senior level client representatives and a proven sales track record
  • Be able to credibly and effectively communicate with the internal operational teams to help develop “solutions” that address unique client needs
  • Be metrics driven with superb organizational skills and be a chronic high achiever
  • Ambitious, driven, and self-motivated personality adaptable to a fast-paced high volume and high velocity sales organization team-centered sales organization
  • Possess values of integrity, ambition, achievement, courage, and a clear sense of ethics, which will be paramount to the overall skill set of the candidate

Responsibilities

  • Expand the Company’s business in new and existing markets within North America through prospecting activities
  • Leverage the Company’s relationships and reputation within the Translational Medicine and Clinical departments of pharma and biotech organizations to expand CellCarta Logistics’ reputation with key decision makers to enhance the credibility of our products/services and brand
  • Work with the Senior Vice President, Global Business Development, to develop monthly, annual, and multi-year sales forecasts and measure results against them
  • Cultivate relationships with strategic pharma and biotech partners and work together with the business development and management teams to expand sales opportunities within key accounts
  • Participate in virtual and face to face client meetings, trade shows, and other forums

Preferred Qualifications

  • An advanced degree is preferred
  • Understand of the biologics/drug development process, including an understanding of clinical trial processes as well as the market dynamics driving pharma and biotech organizations will be an asset
  • Experience selling lab logistics services is an asset
  • Experience with Salesforce is an asset
