Summary

Join Precision for Medicine as a Director, Business Development and drive revenue growth by identifying and closing significant business opportunities for Precision Bioservices. This base + commission role offers the flexibility of fully remote work when not traveling. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities across various Bioservices products and services, developing client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams. Success requires a proven track record in client relationship management and business development within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO sector, along with strong sales experience. The position involves travel and requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of related sales experience; or
  • Master’s Degree and 2 years of related sales experience; or
  • PhD and 0-1 years of related sales experience
  • Ability to work independently, manage time and create plans to achieve personal goal -“entrepreneurial” traits highly encouraged
  • Team player willing to collaborate and work closely with other teams who will provide input on client-facing documents and presentations
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically and act tactically in a dynamic environment
  • Track record of successive increasing levels of responsibility
  • Proven track record of successful client relationship management and business development, particularly if in pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO organization with success in sales of specialty lab services
  • Must be self-directed and self-motivated to work at a highly technical level
  • Willing to travel up to 35%
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally including overnight stays
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language

Responsibilities

  • Identifies opportunities for all Bioservices products and services, including specialty lab services (biomarker assay development, validation and clinical sample testing), and central lab services (kitting, sample processing, biobanking and storage.) Both heavily regulated assays and exploratory correlative analyses will fall under position’s remit
  • Develops and enhances client relationships to support customer retention and growth
  • Establishes a strong working relationship with Marketing, Assay Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Lab Operations and Management
  • Qualifies leads as received
  • Develops a strong understanding of our products and spec sheets to support our proposal team in crafting a proposal for clients
  • Serve as internal advocate for client, as necessary, and depending on business needs, for budget negotiations
  • Closes new business and expands existing business relationships
  • Attend conferences, trade shows and meetings as required
  • Maintain contacts and opportunities using SalesForce.com
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Academic concentration in life sciences or related field
  • Masters or Ph.D. in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry
  • 10 years of related sales experience
