Join Boulevard as their Director of Business Systems and lead the vision, implementation, and evolution of internal systems powering their go-to-market and operational capabilities. Guide strategy and delivery for Salesforce, SaaS subscription management, and foundational tooling for self-service workflows. As a key leader, you will drive system design and process automation for scale, efficiency, and exceptional customer experience, establishing the internal systems architecture supporting Boulevard’s revenue operations. Lead a high-impact team of engineers and administrators, continuously evolving internal tools to meet the needs of a growing business and customer base. This role is crucial in architecting systems impacting Boulevard’s scalability and long-term success. You will define and execute the long-term strategy for Boulevard’s internal business systems, focusing on scalability, extensibility, and cross-system consistency. Partner with various teams to understand business needs and deliver systems that drive internal efficiency and customer experience.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience working with Salesforce and other business systems (e.g., CPQ, billing, marketing automation) with a strong technical foundation in systems architecture and integration
  • 5+ years of people management experience, including managing senior engineers, administrators, or systems teams in high-growth environments
  • Proven success leading complex platform implementations (e.g., Salesforce overhauls, billing migrations, marketing attribution rollouts) across departments
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to support revenue operations, subscription billing, and marketing data strategy
  • Deep understanding of multi-touch attribution, campaign tracking, and full-funnel marketing-to-sales data flow
  • Hands-on experience integrating SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Intercom, Marketo, or others using modern APIs and tooling
  • Familiarity with governance and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and experience implementing security best practices across business tools
  • A systems thinker who can balance business goals with technical scalability

Responsibilities

  • Own, design, and evolve the end-to-end architecture and implementation of internal platforms including Salesforce, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, and related SaaS tools
  • Drive the technical foundation for CRM, CPQ, billing, invoicing, and payment integrations to support scalable GTM operations
  • Partner with Marketing to implement and maintain systems that support campaign tracking, lead lifecycle management, and multi-touch attribution
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to introduce internal tooling and APIs that power customer self-service workflows (e.g., subscription updates, invoicing access)
  • Design and implement process automation across Sales, Marketing, Support, Finance, and Customer Success
  • Ensure seamless, secure, real-time data flow between internal systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, NetSuite, Zendesk) and product environments
  • Establish best practices around data quality, access control, system integrity, and compliance to ensure operational excellence as we scale
  • Lead the continued optimization and operations of our Salesforce instance to support scalable workflows across Sales, CS, Marketing, and Support
  • Own the integration and technical execution of our billing and invoicing stack (Salesforce Revenue Cloud), ensuring accurate and flexible subscription management
  • Implement tools and integrations that enable robust multi-touch attribution, campaign tracking, and pipeline visibility
  • Partner with Product Engineering to expose key account and billing capabilities via secure APIs, enabling in-product customer self-service
  • Deploy observability, alerting, and error handling for mission-critical systems to ensure consistent performance and uptime
  • Implement scalable governance frameworks for system access, data privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOC 2, PCI)
  • Hire, mentor, and grow a collaborative, high-impact team of business systems engineers, administrators, and integration partners
  • Define and execute the long-term strategy for Boulevard’s internal business systems, with a focus on scalability, extensibility, and cross-system consistency
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of business systems engineers and administrators. Cultivate a culture of ownership, innovation, and operational excellence
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Success teams to understand business needs and deliver systems that drive internal efficiency and customer experience
  • Architect robust, flexible solutions across platforms like Salesforce, Stripe, HubSpot, NetSuite, and beyond. Guide build vs. buy decisions and vendor evaluations
  • Establish best-in-class practices for system uptime, monitoring, change management, documentation, and access controls across critical platforms
  • Build and maintain automation frameworks and integrations that ensure seamless data flow and reliable processes
  • Lay the technical foundation for exposing internal functionality—like subscription management and invoicing—as secure, product-facing APIs
  • Partner with executive leadership to define a systems roadmap that aligns with company priorities and enables Boulevard to scale faster and more intelligently
