Requirements

• MBA or equivalent preferred. Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar required
• 2+ years experience in raising tax equity and debt project capital either with an investment bank, private equity firm or project developer
• High degree of familiarity with Excel modeling
• Knowledge and experience working with renewable energy companies
• Experience with tax structuring, ideally partnership flip and working capital loan structures
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level decision makers
• Strong team player: ease working cross-functionally with Accounting, Sales, Legal and Asset Management groups

Responsibilities

• Developing a portfolio of scalable, low-cost financing structures to fund the Company’s residential solar systems
• Structuring and leading project finance transactions from origination to close, including detailed tax equity modeling with an understanding of capital accounts, depreciation basis, and tax credit transferability
• Engage in discrete analytical projects to drive business decision making, and address strategic investment opportunities
• Execute corporate modeling and capital planning activities, with ability and willingness to play multiple roles in capital markets and fundraising activities
• Partnering with accounting and asset management to transition closed deals to the post-execution phase with the Fund Management group
• Managing relationships with our ongoing tax equity partners and identifying follow-on investment opportunities
