Director Commercial Finance

Join Envato as the Director of Commercial Finance on a 12-month fixed term basis. In this leadership position, you will support the CFO and Senior Leadership Team on critical business decisions, oversee budgeting and forecasting, analyze performance, and make recommendations to improve financial performance.

Requirements

• Strong commercial, data analytics and business acumen
• Sound management and business partnering abilities
• Ability to negotiate effectively
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Process improvement experience
• Ideally 10-15 years relevant overall experience, including 5+ years in a senior commercial finance role
• CPA/CA Qualified

Responsibilities

• Providing commercial advice and support to our leadership team and contributing to business decision making
• Overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process, including financial modeling and forecasting for a range of business initiatives
• Making recommendations for profit improvement strategies and reviewing the viability and appropriateness of expenditure/business plans
• Maintain the long term financial business plan
• Partnering with various departments, including questioning and challenging to understand the actual costs & drive operational and financial performance as well as accurate forecasting with confidence & ownership
• Oversee the monthly P&L reporting and expense analysis process to ensure meaningful data is provided to the business
• Provide hands-on coaching and support to the team and internal stakeholders to ensure knowledge growth and common understanding
