Join Chainguard as the Director of APAC (ANZ, Asia & Japan) Field Marketing to lead and build regional marketing programs. This newly created role involves designing and executing a field marketing strategy that supports growth, drives pipeline, and strengthens engagement with key accounts. You will act as a close business partner to the VP of APAC, shaping the go-to-market presence in the region. Based in Sydney with remote work flexibility, this role offers regular engagement with the APAC Leadership Team. You will develop and execute a comprehensive regional marketing strategy, build a high-performing marketing team, and create scalable programs to drive awareness and qualified pipeline. Close collaboration with the APAC leadership team and sales organization is crucial to align marketing activities with revenue goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in field marketing, demand generation, or integrated marketing, with a track record of success in APAC regional leadership roles
  • Proven experience building regional marketing functions and leading high-impact teams in a high-growth environment
  • Deep understanding of regional nuances across APAC and experience aligning field marketing initiatives with account-based sales strategies
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a demonstrated ability to partner effectively with sales, marketing ops, partners, and executive leadership
  • Highly experienced in working with the partner community across the APAC region to build joint go-to-market (GTM) marketing strategies with strategic partners

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional marketing strategy tailored to the unique dynamics of the APAC market
  • As the region scales, build and lead a high-performing marketing team
  • Create scalable programs that drive awareness, engagement, and qualified pipeline through a multi-channel approach β€” including events, executive engagements, partners, digital, and PR initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with the APAC leadership team and sales organisation to align marketing activities with regional revenue goals
  • Identify and prioritise key accounts and GTM Partners to support targeted campaigns that accelerate deal progression
  • Monitor territory health, campaign performance, and funnel metrics
  • Leverage insights to optimize targeting, improve ROI, and evolve programs based on regional performance
  • Collaborate closely with the International Marketing Senior Director based in EMEA, the broader EMEA Marketing team, and the Global Marketing organization to develop scalable frameworks and field marketing best practices
  • Ensure consistent application across the region, while driving operational rigor, efficiency, and repeatable success
  • Regularly communicate results and insights to stakeholders, and continuously optimize based on performance
