Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

Summary

Panopto is seeking a Director, FP&A to lead the financial planning and analysis activities for the company, understand market trends, and provide insights while managing risks and opportunities. The role requires extensive experience in financial analysis, including exposure to global planning/foreign currency translation spanning at least seven years, experience with subscription software companies, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Extensive progressive experience in financial analysis, including exposure to global planning/foreign currency translation spanning at minimum seven years
• Experience working with subscription software (SaaS) companies and related metrics such as ARR, and retention
• Proven experience creating budgets and forecasts (all three statements)
• Ability to understand financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and applicability to forecasted financial statements
• Strong understanding and ability to own and optimize forecasting, budgeting and related tools, technologies, and platforms
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
• Results-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Lead a collaborative budgeting process that involves department heads, finance teams and key stakeholders
• Implement advanced forecasting techniques and tools to enhance the accuracy of revenue and expense projections
• Establish a continuous budget monitoring process, providing real-time insights to enable proactive decision-making and resource allocation adjustments
• Facilitate regular monthly communication between Finance and functional departments to ensure accurate financial reports and sharing financial results
• Implement a collaborative forecasting approach, encouraging input on key business drivers from various departments to enhance the accuracy of overall financial projections
• Model strategic and financial plans and M&A scenarios, including pro formas as needed
• Manage and meet investor reporting, forecasting, and planning requirements and deadlines in coordinate with VP Global Controller
• Evaluate operational processes and expenses, identifying areas for cost optimization without compromising service quality; collaborate with technology teams to leverage data analytics and automation tools for continuous process improvement
• Facilitate effective decision-making throughout the organization, providing insightful analysis and support of financial information
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders by identifying, researching, and resolving discrepancies in financial reports, utilizing internal reporting processes, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency of financial operations
• Support the CFO in preparing presentations for investors, board of directors and other needs
• Assist with M&A activities, including due diligence and integration
• Works closely with department leaders as needed to advise on the optimal way to achieve financial targets as well as assist them in developing budgets and forecasts

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a private equity-backed environment or fast-growing company is advantageous

Benefits

• The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $160,000  USD. per year. This position is also eligible for a bonus as part of the compensation package
