Responsibilities

  • Define and own WordPress.com’s global content strategy, messaging architecture, and brand voice
  • Direct development and execution of annual content and campaign calendars
  • Build and mentor a high-performing content team while serving as an organizational thought leader
  • Manage content marketing budget and resource allocation to maximize business impact
  • Establish company-wide messaging frameworks and content guidelines
  • Guide WordPress.com’s organic growth through comprehensive SEO strategy
  • Develop data-driven content optimization frameworks to improve search visibility
  • Own the content governance model ensuring consistency across all channels
  • Define and maintain content taxonomies and metadata strategies
  • Oversee technical content optimization initiatives across the website
  • Spearhead development of integrated marketing campaigns across all channels
  • Own campaign messaging strategy and framework development
  • Guide narrative development for product launches and key initiatives
  • Create scalable messaging playbooks for cross-functional team use
  • Partner with C-suite and senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives
  • Drive alignment between content strategy and broader business objectives
  • Guide collaborative initiatives across Product, Design, and Communications teams
  • Champion content and messaging best practices across the organization
  • Define content and campaign success metrics aligned with business goals
  • Drive data-informed decisions for content strategy optimization
