Summary
The School of Traditional Skills is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead their marketing efforts and drive growth. The role requires a seasoned marketing professional with prior experience as a Director of Marketing or CMO, along with a strong track record in managing marketing strategies for young growing companies. The ideal candidate should have skills in email marketing, content marketing, live events, direct response advertising, SEO, data-driven decision making, and scaling revenue in the startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Define marketing strategies to support the companyโs overall strategies and objectives
- Develop a feasible marketing plan for the department and oversee its day-to-day implementation
- Supervise the marketing department and provide guidance and feedback to team members and vendors
- Develop and execute systems and procedures for marketing data analytics
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the Executive Team
- Ensure effective strategies are being applied to: Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Content Marketing (Blogging), Copywriting, Email Marketing, Webinar Marketing, Affiliate Marketing, Live Event Marketing
- Ensure our brand message is relevant, strong, and consistent across all marketing channels
- Identify opportunities to reach new market segments and expand user growth
- Conduct general market research to keep abreast of trends and competitorsโ marketing movements
- Participate in the quarterly and annual planning of company objectives
- Set, monitor, and report on development plans and goals for the Marketing Team Members
- Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals in accordance with overall company objectives
- Create a solid network of strategic partnerships
- Drive growth and lifecycle marketing initiatives to maximize customer acquisition and retention
- Utilize performance marketing techniques to optimize campaigns and drive measurable results
- Leverage data and analytics to inform decision-making and continuously improve marketing strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of marketing efforts
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to achieve marketing objectives
