You will conduct market research, manage pricing policies, build and maintain pricing models, and lead a team of operations analysts. The ideal candidate possesses 6-10+ years of experience in strategic problem-solving, ideally within management consulting, investment banking, or a startup. A strong analytical background and the ability to build complex data-driven models are essential. Garner offers a competitive salary ($201,000-$235,000), bonus eligibility, equity incentives, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

  • 6-10+ years of experience in a strategic problem-solving role; prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or an early stage startup
  • Ability to build and maintain complex data-driven models while uncovering areas of improvement
  • Ability to think in principles and frameworks to understand complex, abstract problems
  • A willingness to โ€œroll up your sleevesโ€ and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth quantitative research into healthcare insurance markets and Garner's product history to understand optimal pricing strategy
  • Owning Garnerโ€™s rates, margin profile, and financial risk in the market for all new business and renewed clients
  • Manage policies related to pricing exceptions, pricing concessions, and performance guarantees
  • Maintaining and scoping improvements to tooling for quoting or renewals
  • Building, maintaining, and improving complex pricing models for our SAAS and financial risk products
  • Building ad-hoc pricing models to help inform product decisions and systematizing these models to deliver consistent outcomes
  • Benchmarking to the competitive landscape to understand how our pricing compares
  • Managing, developing, motivating, and retaining a team of operations analysts
