Join IAA, a global marketplace for commercial assets and vehicles, as their Director of Product! Lead the strategy and innovation for branch operations across 190 US locations, impacting the sale of over 2 million vehicles annually. This critical role focuses on enhancing operational excellence, optimizing timelines and costs, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies like LLMs and AI. You will oversee product enhancements, mentor a team of Product Managers, and engage directly with a diverse user base to understand their needs. Success in this position requires a proven track record in product management within operational environments and a strong understanding of mobile-first experiences. The ideal candidate will drive innovation and measurable improvements to maintain IAA's market leadership.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of product management experience, with a proven track record in operational or process-oriented environments such as logistics, supply chain, or physical goods operations
  • Experience leading teams and driving product vision in a collaborative environment
  • Strong understanding of mobile-first, product-led experiences and their application to handheld devices and field operations
  • Demonstrated success in working with engineering and operations teams to deliver impactful solutions
  • Familiarity with leveraging technology for operational improvements, including AI and machine learning applications
  • Exceptional ability to manage and prioritize across a wide-ranging user base and operational needs
  • Strong product mindset with the ability to develop and articulate a clear vision that aligns with business objectives

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic product roadmap focused on enhancing operational excellence and streamlining physical goods operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to implement product solutions that improve efficiency and user experience
  • Drive innovation through technology, such as leveraging large language models (LLMs) for faster expense entry and AI-powered tools for vehicle check-in and damage assessment based on images
  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, empowering them to execute on strategic goals while fostering collaboration and innovation
  • Engage with a diverse user base, including dispatchers, tow operators, yard attendants, branch managers, and agents, to understand their needs and challenges
  • Continuously identify and address weaknesses in current processes, ensuring product improvements drive measurable outcomes and maintain the organizationโ€™s lead in the market
  • Build and evolve the product function, driving team and organizational transformation to align with strategic vision

  • Knowledge of AI and LLM applications in operational settings
  • A user-centric approach to product development, with a focus on improving field operations and internal efficiencies
  • Proven ability to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high performance
