Director of Product, Growth and Search

Summary

Join ZipRecruiter as a Director of Job Seeker Growth and Search to lead the strategy and execution of growing the company's job seeker base. You will drive user acquisition cost-effectively, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include optimizing existing growth channels, experimenting with new strategies, and establishing success metrics. You will also own the end-to-end job seeker search experience. This is a player/coach role, leading a team of product managers while also contributing hands-on. Requirements

• Ability to work in Eastern or Central Time zones to collaborate with Tel Aviv-based engineering teams
• 8+ years of formal leading product management experience with a track record of driving results
• 6+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams focused on growth or Search
• 2+ years of experience managing product managers
• Experience working on search, matching, and/or other Machine Learning products
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform growth strategies
• Highly organized, structured thinker with a strong sense of urgency
• Helicopter pilot mentality - can easily switch from high level strategy to UI polish and data model details

Responsibilities

• Develop and prioritize strategies to increase job seeker registrations and drive sustained growth
• Optimize SEO and paid acquisition channels while identifying and testing new opportunities
• Improve the end to end search experience for all job seekers, whether they start their search directly on Ziprecruiter or on a search engine
• Define and refine cost-effectiveness metrics to assess performance across all channels
• Directly manage a team of 2+ product managers
• Lead and collaborate with engineering, marketing, and data teams to execute growth initiatives
• Balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution, from data analysis to UI refinement
• Drive a culture of experimentation and iteration, using data to inform decisions
